My Final work (Contemporary Experimental Photography class)

The project focuses on conflicting thoughts of the office worker wanting to escape his mundane world, and his obligation to his full time job. I use a Holgaroid to create these images. Using a Holgaroid is a new experiment, which will allow me to do emulsion lifts support my imagination. - Using a Holgaroid with Fuji instant FP-100C - my prints are 4"x4" inches on glass surface to create a hanging photo mobile. This technique is suitable for my project because the image will look like a dream. I present my works on the glass surface and make a hanging mobile. I would like to imagine the office worker sitting in the office and look at the mobile to see his daydream. Fuji instant emulsion lifts on glass surface look transparent, so I can see both sides. This is a new way for me to create my thesis, and the work will look unique which cannot be replicated.

One shot assignment

Assignment from Guest Josh Kirschenbaum

As photographers our eyes have been trained to see things that many times go unnoticed. We also find ourselves at the edges of life, peering into worlds of beauty and nuance that are thriving in the crevices of creativity and imagination. These lost places, where humanity is bursting at the seams, are sanctuaries to forms of expression outside of our cultural and social norms. This assignment is all about exploring these dark crevices, frayed seams, and lost worlds that the everyday eye doesn't see or chooses not to see. Over the next week, try to document in three images something that is hidden, shunned, or forgotten. It is up to you to decide how to define the terms, and the main objective is to take the time to experience and capture something that moves your heart, not just your eye. Try to let go of your graphic eye, expectations about what makes a good photograph, and find something that moves you and is perhaps a part of you that might often be hidden. The

My new work

A Day Vacation The subject is resting in the middle of nowhere. I want to show that he is thinking of something, but what is in his mind is depended on the audiences because I want to link these images to the audience experience. Everybody needs a vacation to escape some time. My image is like a coin which has two sides. Viewers may think that he turns back from nature and is ready to go back to his routine. On the another side, some viewers may think that he is still continuing on his journey, and he needs more time before he must go back to the city cycle. What is the furthest place for vacation? The audiences may think that he hit the end of the road, or he might still keep going his journey.

Grand Palace Pics Taken by NotoHolga

These are holga pics taken from my trip to Grand Palace in Thailand on June 2009 Check them out !!! The Grand Palace (Thai: พระบรมมหาราชวัง, Phra Borom Maha Ratcha Wang) is a complex of buildings in Bangkok, Thailand. It served as the official residence of the Kings of Thailand from the 18th century onwards. Construction of the Palace began in 1782, during the reign of King Rama I, when he moved the capital across the river from Thonburi to Bangkok. The Palace has been constantly expanded and many additional structures were added over time. The present King of Thailand, King Bhumibol Adulyadej, however, resides at the Chitralada Palace. source (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grand_Palace)
