As photographers our eyes have been trained to see things that many times go unnoticed. We also find ourselves at the edges of life, peering into worlds of beauty and nuance that are thriving in the crevices of creativity and imagination. These lost places, where humanity is bursting at the seams, are sanctuaries to forms of expression outside of our cultural and social norms. This assignment is all about exploring these dark crevices, frayed seams, and lost worlds that the everyday eye doesn't see or chooses not to see. Over the next week, try to document in three images something that is hidden, shunned, or forgotten. It is up to you to decide how to define the terms, and the main objective is to take the time to experience and capture something that moves your heart, not just your eye.
